The sculpture (below, top left) was commissioned by GEORGE CHAN. It has stereo outputs, with speakers on the top and bottom of the sculpture, and is light sensitive. It also can have its sound portion turned on and off by light. Further, this sculpture has a program that, when the right events occur, will come to a stop. It then must be reset, by light, before it will continue its pattern.
BEEPER (above middle and bottom) was commissioned by LARRY STANFILL. It is light sensitive, has its own amplifier and speaker and also has an output for an external amplifier. All of its metal parts are incorporated into its circuitry.
CONSTALLATION (below on the left) is silent.
The RELATIVITY MACHINES (above right) are a series of similar sculptures containing LED's, an amplifier and speaker, and a logic system that produces a constantly changing light and sound pattern. Each machine is based on (and changed from) the preceding version. This mutation is loosely based upon Einstein's concept of simultaneity.
